About Manyame RDC

Manyame Rural District Council is one of the ten local authorities in Mashonaland East Province of Zimbabwe. Its mandate according to section 275 of the constitution is to represent and manage the affairs of people in its area of jurisdiction. The Council shares boundaries with Marondera, Chikomba and Goromonzi Rural District Councils in Mashonaland East Province, Mhondoro – Ngezi and Chegutu districts in Mashonaland West Province as well as Chitungwiza Municipality and Harare City Council in the Metropolitan Province of Harare. The total population of the Council area as at 2012 was 100 756 with females accounting for 50.1% of the total population.
Manyame Rural District Council has 21 wards made up as follows: i) Wards 1 – 8 : Communal (36 808 hectares) ii) Wards 9 to 21 : Commercial, A1, A2 and small scale farms (308 088,8ha)

To plan, implement and monitor all technical projects for council
AUDIT DEPARTMENT
To provide independent and objective audit services to Council.
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
To provide effective and efficient financial and accounting services to Council.

• Council has a staff complement of 72 employees. In addition, there are 56 health employees seconded by central government.
