1. CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN: GRADE 9
Reporting to the District Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:

• Carry out Engineering Designs
• Maintenance of council infrastructure
• Supervision of maintenance and construction of council buildings
• Solid Waste management
• Carry out engineering surveys
• Supervision of Civil Works (roads, water reticulation and sewage reticulation systems)
• Any other duties assigned
Qualifications and Experience
• National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Surveying and Geoinformatics or Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution
• At least 2 years relevant working experience most preferably in the public sector.
• Experience in GIS is an added advantage
• A clean class four (4) Driver’s licence
• Computer literacy a must
Be at least 25 years old

2. REGISTRY CLERK: GRADE 6

Reporting to the Assistant Executive Officer Social Services and Administration, the incumbent will assist registry management, mail management, asset management and management of council stocks.
Qualifications and Experience
• At least Diploma in Records Management, Library or equivalent from an approved College a must.
• A Degree in the above is an added advantage
• At least two years relevant working experience in the public sector environment
• Good Computer skills a must.

The Job

Reporting directly to the District Planner, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:

  • Management of a fast growing rural service centre
  • Development control
  • Handling land management issues
  • Staff supervision

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Public Administration, Local Government, Rural and Urban Planning or any other relevant Social Science.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in a Public Sector Environment
  • A Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
  • Be at least 30 years old
