The council is committed to bringing health closer to the people. Hence, the council has put this idea into practice by providing healthcare as it is the sphere of government closest to the people. The council has many clinics and a hospital built in the remote rural areas of the district. This is an effort to provide quality health care facilities even in the inaccessible parts of the district which is in line of the country’s 2030 of a world class status.

In accordance with the Ministry of Health and Childcare the council seeks to promote good health quality of life of the people of Zimbabwe. To achieve equity in health by targeting resources and programs to the most vulnerable and needy in our society. The council seeks to provide high quality care which is accessible and appropriate.
